Cleanliness & hygiene are increasingly important, a fact we appreciate now more than ever. The first floor of the hollu flagship store in Graz presents the world of professional cleaning as an integrated experience. The second floor presents practical knowledge regarding cleaning and hygiene that are taught in the hollu Academy, making it an excellent complement to the store. The spatial concept devised by the store makers from umdasch, have made it possible to experience the world of cleaning in digital, as well as physical, form.

The challenge

The goal was to present the world of hollu, with its extensive product range including services, on a floor area of 1000m2. The cleaning solutions, equipment and existing customer know-how, were to be brought to life for the visitor in an interactive and playful way.  

 

The solution

The specialists from umdasch The Store Makers developed an overall concept for the interior as well as the digital elements, which set the scene for the topic: cleaning and hygiene.

"Our goal is to rethink the image of the cleaning industry. Cleaning and hygiene have gained major relevance and deserve an innovative, fresh and friendly presentation" says Bernd Albl - Managing Director umdasch Digital Retail. 

Digital signage - more than just a slideshow 

The store is divided into different zones, which correspond to hollu's product categories. From textile cleaning to dispenser systems and cleaning equipment, the products are presented in a pleasant wooden ambience. The entrance area features oversized hollu characters, which include integrated displays in the branding that welcomes visitors and immerses them in the company's history.

Various displays blend harmoniously with the construction elements and communicate more than just dry information. Textile cleaning, the holluQUID system, for example and various product features or specifications, are displayed as soon as the user presses the ON button of a washing machine.

Elsewhere, displays provide inform on possible applications, different product properties and specifications. One can view and explore hollu's entire product range virtually, via a touch display.

The second floor houses the hollu Academy, consisting of various rooms which have been set up as demonstration examples. The hollu Academy and its seminar rooms contain digital labels that provide information about room occupancy. Displays are also used for training purposes.

Result

umdasch Digital Retail has succeeded in creating a digital customer journey that makes people want to address the topic of hygiene and cleaning.

The DS Manager Pro from Grassfish allows the customer to easily create and add specific content via the composer.
